“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Faith.Fellowship.Fun. Welcome to the St. Matthew Youth Group page! We are an active and welcoming community of middle and high school students who come together to grow in faith, serve others, and build lasting friendships. Through gatherings, Bible studies, retreats, service projects, and fun social events, we're creating a space where teens can be themselves, connect with others, and live out their faith with confidence.
All youth grades 6-12 are invited to join the youth group. Click here to register.
Come hang out, have fun, and grow in faith.
🌟 Young Adult Leaders Wanted! 🌟
The Youth Ministry team is looking to add young adults to our leadership team!
We are seeking young adults (18–25) who are interested in helping guide and mentor our middle school and high school youth while growing in their own faith.
As a Youth Group Young Leader, you will:
• Help lead activities, discussions, and service projects
• Encourage and support younger students in their faith journey
• Be a positive role model within our parish community
Youth Group meets 2–4 times per month, typically on Sunday evenings.
If you are interested in joining the Youth Ministry team, please contact the parish office or speak with the Youth Ministry leader.
Come help inspire the next generation! ✝️
Please keep our Steubenville participants in your prayers!
July 10-12, 10 youth and 4 chaperones from St. Matthew Parish will be joining teens and leaders from St. Mary's and St. Joseph as they travel to Springfield, Missouri, for the Steubenville Youth Conference.
We ask for your prayers for safe travels, open hearts, and a transformative experience for all of our youth, chaperones, and leaders. Please pray that they return home renewed in their faith and inspired to live as disciples of Christ.
Thank you for supporting our youth through your prayers!
Upcoming Events

Thank You!
A heartfelt thank you to the Knights of Columbus for generously donating the proceeds from their Pancake Breakfast to support the Youth Group’s trip to Steubenville Youth Conference.
We are also very grateful to the WWG for sponsoring our Steubenville trip and helping to cover youth registration fees.
Thank you as well to everyone who supported the Youth Group by stopping by our Culver’s Share Night. Your generosity means so much! The youth who worked the event raised $840 to help cover their Steubenville trip expenses.
Your support helps make this incredible faith experience possible for our youth. Thank you for investing in their faith journey!
Holy Hour and Dinner
The Youth Group and their families recently attended Deacon Mark’s Holy Hour and enjoyed dinner together afterward. It was a wonderful evening filled with prayer, community, and good food.

Church Tour
During our most recent youth group gathering, the youth participated in a guided tour of the church, where they learned about its history and the construction of the building. Huge thanks to Mr. Holdcroft for joining us for dinner and for showing us around!

Outings
Thanksgiving Bowling
Over Thanksgiving break, 20 youth from our youth group came together for a fun-filled afternoon of bowling. The day was full of laughter, friendly competition, and meaningful conversation, providing a wonderful opportunity for our youth to strengthen friendships and celebrate community. Events like this remind us of the importance of fellowship, gratitude, and the joy of spending time together outside of our regular activities.

Bellevue Berry Farm
Our youth had an amazing time at Bellevue Berry Farm! From exploring the haunted house and taking the haunted hayride to roasting s’mores and hot dogs around the campfire, it was a night full of laughter, adventure, and fellowship. It was such a blessing to see our young people growing in friendship and in Christ as they shared these special moments together. We are grateful for the great turnout and for all the chaperones who helped make this outing possible. We look forward to our next youth ministry adventure!
Service
Our youth group and confirmation candidates volunteered at the Heartland Hope Mission food pantry. It was a meaningful opportunity to serve, learn, and share God’s love with our community.
