“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Guided by this timeless wisdom, the St. Matthew Religious Education program exists to support parents as the primary educators of their children in the faith. Our mission is to nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in each student and family, form disciples rooted in Catholic teaching and tradition, and encourage active participation in the sacramental and communal life of the Church, helping children grow in understanding, faith, and lifelong devotion. As the first teachers of faith, parents are invited to join their children at Mass weekly and continue growing in their own relationship with Christ.
All that we do in Religious Education, including teaching, serving, and growing in faith, is for Jesus and guides our families to live as His disciples every day.
Religious Education classes are available for baptized students in grades 1 through 8. If your child is in need of Baptism, please contact the parish office.
